Women for Change International ("we", "our", "us") built the Mind Nest mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Mind Nest does not require account registration and does not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

We collect limited, anonymous usage data to improve the app experience:

FAQ interaction signals – which FAQ items are viewed, selected, or rated as helpful / not helpful. These signals are recorded without any personal identifier.
Local device storage – FAQ popularity scores are stored locally on your device (using AsyncStorage) to personalise suggested questions. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of the anonymous signals described above.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Name, email address, or phone number
Precise or approximate location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Payment or financial information
Access to your contacts, camera, or microphone

3. How We Use Information

Anonymous interaction signals are used solely to:

Rank and improve the relevance of FAQ content
Understand which topics are most useful to our community

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may use the following third-party services:

Microsoft Office Online – used to display presentation files (PPTX) via view.officeapps.live.com. Please refer to Microsoft's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous FAQ interaction signals are retained on our servers for up to 12 months to analyse content performance, after which they are deleted. Local device data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Mind Nest is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
